Virtualbox guest complains system is only 32 bit. Log in to get rid of this advertisement I'm trying to use VirtualBox on a 64 bit host (Fedora 12), and install a 64 bit suse guest. I have VirtualBox installed just fine on the host, but when I try to launch the guest (booting from an iso) I get the message 'This is a 32-bit computer. Oracle VM VirtualBox Base Packages - 6.1.26. You either have Hyper-V turned on, or have Intel Virtualization Technology disabled in BIOS. If you have one of those settings configured as mentioned, this is the reason why you are only seeing 32-bit guest operating systems available when create a new virtual machine. When it comes to Virtualization platforms for professional or home users of Windows 10 32-bit or 64-bit, then there are only a couple of or rather I say only three best possible options. Of course, Docker and Vagrant like platforms are there but inclined more towards advance and enterprise. Download the image of the Linux distribution you want to try out. It does not matter if it's a 32-bit or 64-bit OS image. You can even start a 64-bit OS image on a 32-bit host system (with limitations in memory usage, of course) and vice versa. Considerations: If possible, choose a Linux distribution that comes with the Logical Volume Manager.
